Paclitaxel USP……….6mg
Dehydrated Alcohol I.P…………49.7% v/v
Polyoxyl 35 Castor oil USP NF ……..q.s.

MECHANISM OF ACTION:
Paclitaxel is an antimicrotubule agent that promotes the assembly and stabilization of microtubules from tubulin dimers. Late G2 mitotic phase is inhibited and thus cell replication is inhibited. Paclitaxel also can distort mitotic spindles resulting in chromosomal damage.

INDICATION:
  • Breast cancer.
  • Cervical cancer.
  • Endometrial cancer
  • Kaposi's Sarcoma
  • Lung cancer
  • Ovarian cancer

STORAGE:
  • Store between 20°C to 25°C (68° to 77°F)

  • PACLITAXEL INJ 30MG/5mL
  • PACLITAXEL INJ 100MG/16.67 mL
  • PACLITAXEL INJ 260MG/43.34 mL

PROCARB

PROCARB GENERIC:
PROCARBAZINE

CLASSIFICATION:
Alkylating agent

COMPOSITION:
Each capsules contains 50mg of Procarbazineas Procarbazine Hydrochloride

MECHANISM OF ACTION:
It inhibits incorporation of small DNA precursors, as well as RNA and protein synthesis. Procarbazine can also directly damage DNA through an alkylation reaction. Procarbazine is not cross-resistant with other alkylating agents and is cell cycle phase-specific (S-phase).

INDICATIONS:
  • Hodgkin's lymphoma
  • Brain Tumor
  • Non-Hodgkin's lymphoma.

STORAGE:
Tight, light-resistant containers at 15-30ºC (may be exposed to =40ºC).

STRENGTHS:
  • PROCARB CAP 50 MG

TAPIT

TAPIT GENERIC:
GRANISETRON

CLASSIFICATION:
5-HT3 receptor inhibitor

MECHANISM OF ACTION:
Tapit blocks the depolarizing action of 5HT receptors on vagal afferent in GI tract as well as in NTS and CTZ. Tapit is selective 5-HT3 (serotonin) receptor antagonist with a little or no affinity for other receptors. During chemotherapy induced vomiting, mucosal enterochromaffin cells release serotonin, which stimulates 5-HT3 receptor. The stimulation of 5-HT receptors by serotonin causes vagal discharge resulting in vomiting. Tapit blocks serotonin stimulation and subsequent vomiting.

COMPOSITION:
Each ml Contains
Granisetron Hydrochloride equivalent ot Granisetron……..1mg

INDICATIONS:
  • CINV (Chemotherapy induced nausea vomiting)
  • RINV (Radiation induced nausea vomiting)
  • PONV (Post operative nausea vomiting)

STORAGE:
  • Single use vial and multiple use vial at 25ºC, excursions permitted to 15º to 30ºC. Once the multi-use vial is penetrated, its contents should be used within 30 days
  • Do not freeze and protect from light

STRENGTHS:
  • TAPIT INJ 3 MG/3mL

ADROSAL

ADROSAL GENERIC:
DOXORUBICIN

CLASSIFICATION:
Antitumour antibiotic

COMPOSITION:
Each Vial contains:
Doxorubicin Hydrochloride…10mg
Lactose ……q.s.

MECHANISM OF ACTION:
Doxorubicin damages DNA by intercalation of the anthracycline portion, metal ion chelation, or by generation of free radicals. Doxorubicin has also been shown to inhibit DNA topoisomerase II that is critical to DNA function. Cytotoxic activity is cell cycle phase-nonspecific.

INDICATION:
  • Acute lymphoblastic leukemia
  • Acute myeloblastis leukemia
  • Acute non-lymphoblastic leukemia
  • Breast cancer
  • Hodgkin's lymphoma
  • Small cell lung cancer
  • Non-Hodgkin's lymphoma
  • Ovarian cancer
  • Ewing's sarcoma

STRENGTHS:
  • ADROSAL 10 MG LYOPHILISED VIAL
  • ADROSAL 50 MG LYOPHILISED VIAL

STORAGE:
  • Store powder at room temperature.

BLEOSOL

BLEOSOL GENERIC:
BLEOMYCIN

CLASSIFICATION:
Antitumor antibiotic

MECHANISM OF ACTION:
Bleomycin causes single and double strand DNA break through formation of an intermediate iron complex. DNA synthesis, and to lesser degree, RNA and protein synthesis are inhibited. Bleomycin is cell cycle phase-specific.

COMPOSITION
Each vial contains:
Bleomycin Sulphate I.P.
equivalent to Bleomycin.................. 15 units

INDICATIONS:
  • Cervix, squamous cell cancer
  • Head and neck cancer
  • Hodgkin's lymphoma
  • Non-Hodgkin's lymphoma
  • Penis, squamous cell cancer
  • Testicular cancer

STORAGE:
Store at 2-8ºC (Refrigerate. Do not freeze) and shelf life is 36 months.

STRENGTHS:
  • BLEOSOL INJ 15 Units

CYBIN PF

CYBIN PF GENERIC:
CYTARABINE, CYTOSINE ARABINOSIDE (Ara-C)

CLASSIFICATION:
Antimetabolite

COMPOSITION:
Each ml contains Cytrabine ………….100mg.

MECHANISM OF ACTION:
Its mode of action is due to its rapid conversion into cytosine arabinoside triphosphosphate, which damages DNA when the cell cycle holds in the S phase (synthesis of DNA). Rapidly dividing cells, which require DNA replication for mitosis, are therefore most affected. Cytosine arabinoside also inhibits both DNA and RNA polymerases and nucleotide reductase enzyme needed for the DNA synthesis. Cytarabine is rapidly deaminated in the body into the inactive uracil derivative form and therefore, it is often given by continuous intravenous infusion.

INDICATION:
  • Acute myelogenous leukemia
  • Meningeal leukemia
  • Chronic myelogenous leukemia
  • Erythroleukemia
  • Non-Hodgkin's lymphoma.

STORAGE:
  • Store below 25°C

STRENGTHS:
  • CYBIN PF INJ 100MG/mL
  • CYBIN PF INJ 500MG/5mL
  • CYBIN PF INJ 1GM/10mL

DACMOZEN

DACMOZEN GENERIC:
DACTINOMYCIN, ACTINOMYCIN

CLASSIFICATION:
Antitumor Antibiotic

COMPOSITION:
Each Vial contains
Dactinomycin……..5mg

MECHANISM OF ACTION:
It is belived to produce its cytotoxic affects by binding DNA & inhibiting RNA synthesis. It also causes intercalation preferentially with Guanine base pairs. Thus act as a potent inhibitor of RNA.

INDICATIONS:
  • Ewing's sarcoma
  • Rhabdomyosarcoma

EPICIN

EPICIN GENERIC:
EPIRUBICIN

CLASSIFICATION:
Antitumour antibiotic

MECHANISM OF ACTION:
It intercalates into DNA, which results in inhibition of DNA synthesis and function. It inhibits Topoisomerase II by forming a cleavable complex with Topoisomerase II and DNA. It is also involved in oxidation/reduction reactions by generating cytotoxic oxygen free radicals, which can cause single & double-stranded DNA breaks.
